In this project a comprehensive study will be done by conducting survey from the student of the university about the dental coverage. Formal interviews of these students will be conducted to get acquainted with the severity of dental health situation. The data should contain the percentage of university students paying the dental coverage by themselves, the percentage of university students whose dental coverage being paid by their parents, the percentage of the university students willing to have dental coverage added into their health care, and also the percentage of university students who can’t afford the dental treatment.
Sample Size:
The sample size of the project comprises of 500 students which were interviewed as a result of this extensive study. These were of different level i.e. Undergraduate level and graduate level. Few things which were kept in mind those students should comprise of different genders, nationality and ethnic groups to get a broader view.
Results:
Out of our sample size of 500 students when students were inquired about the dental coverage plans, 65 % of the students replied that can’t afford to have dental coverage for themselves. Out of total 90 % thinks that dental treatment should be added to their plans. When asked by interviewers that how many of them are getting dental treatment coverage sponsored by their parents answer turned out to be only 25 % of the students were having dental coverage sponsored by their parents and when questioned by surveyors that how many are paying their own dental coverage shockingly, only8 % were having dental treatment on their own expense. These results were very disturbing.
