Tourism of Ireland has a policy of reviewing its strategy of marketing and operations in order to promote its tourism in a larger audience. They have made a lot of key decisions in order to have a strong focus on resources, efforts and energies.
Ø They are planning to allocate most of their marketing in four main source of their tourism which can offer them the best return out of this investment. These main markets are Great Britain, United States, France and Germany (Fan, Ying, 2006, pp 10).
Ø Refocusing the marketing strategies to provide the different holiday experience on the island of Ireland to the visitors so that a good growth can be expected over the plan.
Ø They are also planning to invest a good amount in their e-business to strengthen their customer base by ensuring their online presence.
Ø They are also planning to put more emphasis on the advertisements of branded spots to provide more competitive positioning to the business.
They will provide a continuous energy and focus on tourism sector in the Ireland.
They have planned six main themes in order to summarize country’s direction towards tourism sector. These themes will be supported by different programs in order to align their efforts and budgets on these strategic themes.
