From the discussion presented above, it can be seen that there is a constructive relation amongst social anxiety, alcohol expectancy, and alcohol use. These two case studies use various measures to point out these relationships. These measures include Social Interaction Anxiety Scale, The Alcohol Outcome Expectancies Questionnaire, Alcohol Expectancies for Social Evaluative Situations, and The Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test. Even though the results drawn support the hypothesis presented in this paper, however the samples which were used during above mentioned studies are age group biased. Most of the participants belonged to the age group of 18 to 30. The result might vary across different age groups and with the level of social anxiety. In order to get better and more specific result, it would be better to consider people of different age groups, gender, mental and psychological health.
