Training and development strategy:
This is provided to the the existing employees the companies develop appropriate training for the employees. This is to ensure that the employees are in accordance with the rising competition in the external environment.
Recruitment is another important tool that has been used by the company to meet its requirements (Collins, and Clark, 2003). In this company, the recruitment for the managerial posts and for high level technical requirement the candidates are selected through their employment job boards. There is high level of testing and many layers of interviews that are conducted by the company to hire the employees. According to the industry sources, it is very difficult to gain employment in this company. There is high level of competition in the hiring process owing to the brand image of the company. Ability Edge Internship is one program that has been followed by the company. There is also a referral program that has been followed by the company in order to hire employees (Purce, 2014). Employees who refer others are given incentives. In this process then new employee and the exiting employees are benefitted in this process.
It is a strategy where certain operations are outsourced to other companies for expediency of the processes (Gelade, and Ivery, 2003). It also enables the company to focus on its core values and develop its strategic objectives. In this process the parent company and the outsourcing company are benefitted in this process.
GE Company is widely known for pushing its manufacturing units to China and human resource operations to India (Gelade, and Ivery, 2003. There have been several benefits that the company garnered in terms of revenue but the company has been heavily criticized for its outsourcing process in the developed nations. This has caused mixed impacts for the company.
