After analyzing Kathy’s condition, I completely agree with her on the sentence “He reminded me of me”. After knowing Kathy’s whole condition, Lester’s entry in to her life was a boon to her. For Kathy, a small drop of love was like a shower to her. Kathy had suffered a lot and the reason for her suffering was not her but her husband for which she could do nothing. After suffering to this extent, it was tough for her to actually believe in someone or even herself. Slipping in to depression was obvious for her.
But Lester’s entry into her life actually extracted her from her grief back into the lively world, once where she used to live. Kathy was living her life back. After Lester’s approval of date, Kathy could be never so happy as ever as she had found someone who could love her back and actually wanted her in his life. Also, he helped her in her fight for her house and also saved her from committing suicide. Kathy started developing a feeling of belonging for him and this made her inclined towards Lester. Thus, I completely agree of Kathy’s saying of “He reminded me of me” for Lester.
