As an example, the new housing development in Adelaide, called Lights view which falls within the consolidated zone. Others issues that are commonly stated in research works are that of the issues of compact design and eco-efficient houses. Eco-efficiency in housing goes beyond sustainable housing development and looks at sustainability in housing constructions. Now many cities across the world have faced a common problem. Eco efficiency as a guideline for construction remains unenforceable. Eco-efficient buildings are being built, but it is difficult for the government to impose the same stringent regulatory standards for eco-efficiency on all constructions.
