Eastern art can be categorized in Balinese, Buddhist, Japanese, Indian, Chinese, Islamic and Jewish arts. Buddhist art also originated in India and it flourished here. Buddhist art was mainly influenced with religion or “Dharma” as it is called. It spread with the religion. This art impacted a lot of other culture and got impacted by them. It also became popular as spiritual art. It was considered to aid in meditation and brought people in a state of Trans. As Buddhist developed in each new country this art also got developed with it. Chinese art is very much affected with its history and ruling dynasties. China has a very rich, vivid culture and that can also be seen in its artistic heritage. Chinese art has a sense of performance in it; that is why Chinese artists are widely regarded as performers . Chinese art is one of the oldest arts in the world and they have a great history in art.Communist party in China has full control over government. Early in 1960s any art that favoured government was promoted and if art depicts something against the government then the owner of the art used to get punished. There were re-education programs for them and they were made farmers under this program.
