Size of the organization: At present, Haier has around 70,000 employees and it is expected to grow bigger in future. Haier is running its business in most of the countries such as America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and South Asia. Though this company is increasing its size in terms of distribution channels, services and employees, the increase in workforce strength has resulted in grapevine rumors, stress, conflict, bureaucracy and so on. It is evident that, companies who increase their number of employees very fast, witness decline very fast. It gives birth to problems like lack of communication, misunderstanding and group conflicts. For any organization to succeed, the foremost thing that is required is cohesiveness amongst the employees. Cohesiveness influences productivity. Cohesiveness reduces tensions and provides a supportive environment for the successful attainment of company’s goals. The more cohesive a group, the more its members to follow its norms.
