Martin parker in his book discussed about the literature that is associated with the culture inside an organization. Why does this affect the way the company is viewed and also suggests how to seek identity when the members of the company are seen as a team sometimes and also divided in some case. More than just work, the environment of working is much important and is considered to have a great impact in day to day life. As most of the employees don’t just work for money but also for self satisfaction, professional life and personal life are mostly considered one. To have a good environment of work is everything. The better the team, the better the output is. Every company focuses more on giving the best for the employees to retain the employees. This was proven in China with a construction engineering company. (Tsai, Song & Cheryl, 2009)
Google gives prime importance to being who you are and lets you do what interests you. Intelligence is measured with creativity in work and not with qualifications. A great diverse culture is witnessed in here and there are numerous awards, rewards and recognition programmes for the best employees. It focuses on giving the best environment with modern amenities, gives equal opportunity with no discrimination. Enough help is given and everything is totally transparent. It doesn’t consider on how many hours an employee works and doesn’t care if the employee is not found in desk for a long time. The only focus is to get the job done, in the best possible way. Google has become a role model and is been bringing a great change in organization culture.
