Cubism was invented in 1907 by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque. This was the earliest form of abstract modern art. This art is conceptual in nature and refutes the perspective form as this art work has the ability to show many motifs on a single plane. The modern day collage work is derived from cubism only. Cubist style has two branches, namely analytical cubism and synthetic cubism. Cubism form of art has influenced Orphism, Futurism, Vorticism, Supermatism, Constructivism and Expressionism. Technology was increasing day by day and so was the art form. The geometricity of the cubist paintings was a representation of the modern and abstract form of art. This marked the advent of a new form where the three dimensions of the real world could be depicted in two dimensional canvases.
There is a huge difference when it comes to the subject of painting. Earlier, the subject was mainly the gods and the human bodies but with time the painters started finding interest in abstract form of art where they were free to depict their mind. Modern day art I derived from the old masters since the new age painters always try to better the old form of art. They urge themselves to discover something new. Art has no boundaries. It is as vast as one can think in his mind. Old masters have been the inspiration, but it is a journey without any stop for the new artists. They know how to appreciate a painting.
