  Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association was an active force to participate in the Chinese Immigrants. In that time, it takes several actions in the racism of Chinese Canadian work force. There are several articles about that collection of Victoria by which we can gain information about the Chinese in the Canada. Some of the articles are as follows;

  25 September 1900- economic Condition of Chinese in Victoria – This article is about the conditions of the Chinese at that time. It makes clear the financial position of that time. It reveals the poor condition of the Chinese in that time.

  1884 – List of Chinese Businessmen in Victoria- This article is about the list of Chinese businessmen in that time. After that, they were disallowed to do business in the Canada.

  23 August 1984 – List of numbers and occupation of Chinese in British Columbia – This article clears the number of businesses done by the Chinese in the British Columbia. The occupations are professional. Laundry, Technical services, agricultural services. After that, some of the businesses are disallowed.

  From 1984 to 1922, the Chinese were moved away from the agricultural activities. Many legislative bills had been passed to restrict the Chinese to take part in the agricultural activities. In 1984, they were disallowed to own the land in the Canada. They were rejected to compete in the labor market. They were restricted to own the crown land in the country. They were disallowed to work underground. Therefore, they started going away from the country and removed from the agricultural activities.

  As discussed by Green (1976) in his book titled “Immigration and the postwar Canadian economy”, when the demand for the labor increases, the Chinese were allowed to work but with low wages. Chinese labors were given with fewer wages for every activity including agricultural activities. Some acts restricted the Chinese labor to work in the crown land. They were also disallowed from political works, and the Government passed many rules against the Chinese labor. There were jobs of restaurants and laundry for the workers. They were seemed as less important in the workplace.
