From 1984 to 1922, the Chinese were moved away from the agricultural activities. Many legislative bills had been passed to restrict the Chinese to take part in the agricultural activities. In 1984, they were disallowed to own the land in the Canada. They were rejected to compete in the labor market. They were restricted to own the crown land in the country. They were disallowed to work underground. Therefore, they started going away from the country and removed from the agricultural activities.
As discussed by Green (1976) in his book titled “Immigration and the postwar Canadian economy”, when the demand for the labor increases, the Chinese were allowed to work but with low wages. Chinese labors were given with fewer wages for every activity including agricultural activities. Some acts restricted the Chinese labor to work in the crown land. They were also disallowed from political works, and the Government passed many rules against the Chinese labor. There were jobs of restaurants and laundry for the workers. They were seemed as less important in the workplace.
