With the users and stakeholders navigating over the social media themselves, the companies do not have much of a choice than focusing of diverting their communication strategies over the social networking sites. However the risks involved in strategic communications through the social media are the chances and instances when the employees have leaked sensitive information from the company over the social media. The comments and complaints from the employees on such posts might bring down the company’s reputation. Hence the employees should keep a good check over what they are doing while working on the strategic communication of the organization. It sometimes can be termed to marketing stunt but leads to serious offences. Irresponsible information can cause damage to the brand and social capital. Well there has been a new term since a large use of social media for social communication and that is “Social Noise”. For instance the wall of a Facebook user for instance who has subscribed to a few organizations pages might be filled with promotional ads and offers. “When there is too much to look at and a chaos all over many people prefer to take a leave from there and hence the objective of grabbing the attention of the audience is missed”(Bhattacharya & Sen, 2010, pp.13). The audience is easily distracted and the focus is lost easily.
