Capital as discussed above can therefore be distinctly classified as economic capital, social capital and cultural capital. Economic capital is what most of us are more familiar with. The economic capital comes in the guise of what is directly exchangeable for money, reaps monetary benefits or gives some kind of property rights to a person. Social capital is capital that grows out of social obligations or connections which man has with another. The social capital and economic capital are both interrelated and in some cases may be institutionalized as one. Cultural capital which is the subject of this paper’s discussion is capital that is also exchangeable as social or economic capital but is more aggressive in the impacts that it leaves behind.
