Gene therapy is the process by which the genetic material from one body is transferred to the other target cell with an objective to prevent a specific disease. It is one of the most widely used therapeutic tool used and is aimed at treating several diseases. In this review, the various aspects pertaining to details of the diseases and the various gene therapy methods that are used to treat these diseases will be studied. I have a great interest in Gene Therapy and also want to take this as an area in research in future. I have collected several information from secondary sources like the journals and the research papers and is doing several analysis of the research work done by others on the subject. I have also used the Agricola database which is available in the university library to conduct my research searches and collect data.
There are several diseases which are aimed to be treated using this therapy out of which Lung cancer and HNC are most common. Various kinds of genes are now being introduced without the use of various kinds of vectors and techniques in vivo techniques without the use of gene transfer techniques therapy. Gene therapy basically uses DNA as a therapy to treat various kinds of information.
