Training and education is very important for the development of individuals, ultimately leading to the growth of an organization. The training should be focused on the individual characteristics of the employees (Wilson, 2009). It is necessary to dispense guidelines and updates on a regular basis. It is observed, that most organizations lack effective training sessions that can help the individuals in human resource department to remain updated with necessary techniques. The guidelines that were in place 20 years back are not in line with modern requirements. In this regard, the organization should pay special attention that human resource employees are encouraged to attend seminars, conferences and training sessions that can help increase their knowledge. These sessions should be of value and not simply a waste of money on organizing a sort of a public gathering as criticized by some authors (Hammonds, 2005). Regular training of all employees helps enhance and manage the talent of individuals.
Also, it provides them a platform to interact with individuals from other companies leading to an exchange of ideas and knowledge. New and innovative learning methods should be incorporated. Individuals belonging to human resource department are assigned a senior managerial position in future, which is why corporations should pay special attention to inculcate in them the skills that can transform them into leaders for tomorrow (Ashridge, 2008). The HR department needs to be fully active in providing creative suggestions and a clear vision to the rest of employees. It should keep abreast of the latest cultural, social, political and environmental trends.
