Wearing Che Guevara’s T-shirt is fashion and hence it is admired by the public. This photograph of Che Guevara has become a fashion statement. The photograph only shows a young man with a mystic appearance. Ironically, this photo was taken when there was chaos all around, more than hundred people had died and Che Guevara was attending the funeral.
For the camera Che Guevara was a just another man with sharp features and handsome look. This two dimensional piece of photography however could not explain anything beyond the looks of the person. Ironically, the camera does capture moments but the photograph shows exactly what the person wants to see (Zakia, 2013). When I look at Che Guevara’s photograph, I can only look at the brilliance with which the photo has been taken without knowing who the photographer was and on which occasion this photograph was taken. Generations down the line would never realize that Che Guevara was a revolutionist rather they would address this man as a fashion icon taken.
As an individual, when I stare at this image I only wonder that I do not know anything about this picture. I do not know any story about the picture. The true story could only be told by the photographer or the person himself (Zakia, 2013). The photograph does not have any narration of the events and hence people can only guess the circumstances and the moods.
