It has also become a famous site for advertisement or propagation. There has been an increase in the customer or user base of Facebook from 117 million in 2011 to 142 million in 2013 in USA itself. Similar increase of the user base can also be witnessed in almost all part of the world like Europe and Asia. It has also increase the revenues earned as compared to 2011 and 2013. In Europe the revenues earned almost doubled from $245 million to $451 million. Similar were the cases in Asia and other parts of the world. The increase in the user base and the revenues earned can be a positive sign for a bright and prosperous future of Facebook, but there are some threats which might come along the way of its success (Ellison, Steinfield, Lampe, 2007, 1153).
