The original music forms of Japan is strikingly different from the Western Music genre in the sense that it is based on human breathing intervals as compared to mathematical timing in other forms of music. Japanese music is claimed to enrage all limits of patience beyond the European breast. Japanese culture is the owner of four traditional theatrical forms of which music and dance are essential elements.
The Japanese place a great deal of emphasis on external appearances and tend to judge people on the basis of their appearance and presentation. Moreover they believe in a peculiar masking culture where the true identity and character of a person is not revealed by themselves but detected by the other person.
Traditional cultural music and folk compositions form a major part of the melodious legacy of the country while in the past few decades; western classical music has created a strong presence in Japan. Western classical music has a large market in Japan and is one of the most significant of business there. Japan is the home to a number of leading worldwide bands and other artists and musicians. However Western classical music is not representative of the novel culture of Japan and they were only exposed to it somewhere in the latter part of the nineteenth century. Nevertheless the Japanese then studied classical music to make an artistic culture of their own.
