Throughout the ages this field of study as evolved and re-written the style and pattern of work. From the tall standing building to the magnificent palaces, architecture has provided some of the marvels of human creation.
The work of an architect has also undergone many changes in the last couple of decades. The work now involves technical and administrative areas that previously weren’t there. Understanding the requirement of the client and the need of the construction is a basic requirement but the estimation of the cost and the surrounding environment is also considered. An architect is involved in planning, designing and execution of the structure to meet the requirements of the structure. With the passage of time architects have created different concepts of designing that were once thought to be difficult and weak. The structures represent different period that they were influenced by the social norms of that time. The architectural style also differed according to the region and also religion. Religion perhaps held a greater influence in shaping the architecture. From the intricate art work on the pillars to the giant towers each part of the structure was once heavily influence by the faith of the people living in that region. The geographical factors also carried and impact on architecture. Still today the geography of a region needs to be looked into before defining and planning the structure.
