Within the field of architectural and transformative design fields, it is evident that there are various cities which have continued to shrink (Jennings, 2013). With the cities shrinking, there has been a weeding out of inefficient measures within businesses, venues of society and within space occupation. The designers of this project therefore have focused over ensuring that this transformative design has dynamic vernacular. The architecture of transformative nature have embraced the idea that vernacular has dynamics especially when within horizontal perspective. This evolving vernacular of constant nature is evident within the city timeline. It has been evident within the timeline of various buildings, but it is not restricted through the preservation historically.
Also, the design will not be built on a fresh site rather it will be built over a motor highway. This is because the notion of building on a fresh site has long diminished and there is a requirement of creativity (Frascari, 2007). While undertaking to develop urban pockets, there is much to offer when green space development in the location is undertaken. The notions of replacing building will also be taken into consideration which is the economic option currently. This is not because of the replacement merits but because of the research inadequacy into the existing structures transformation leading towards environmental sustainability.
