Lastly what can be noticed is that smoking is banned in public, it means that the government takes the act of smoking very seriously, which means that the non-smokers are discouraged from the beginning and the number of potential smokers decrease significantly. Smokers in the meantime would face withdrawal actions and would ultimate need to get rid of the nicotine addiction which again is a step towards a healthier lifestyle. The withdrawal symptoms though bad are curable and when the non-smokers are being given reasons by the government through indicative symptoms in smokers, they would not willingly get drawn towards something which clearly indicates is harmful in all the ways (Yang et al., 2015).
Also the cigarette butts and other material related to smoking is harmful for the environment and when people smoke in public they tend to leave the things in open and therefore by this act the government is also saving the environment (Yao, Lee and Mao, 2009).
