The theories of creation have been expounded by several religious fountainheads. Most of them have a lot of similarities pointing to the fact that they have probably originated from nearby places or have been put together by dovetailing the facts from differing sources. The fact that stories have the backing of religious heads is notable. From ancient times, the questions of the origins of mankind have provoked scholars of the world. Scholars want to obtain the answers to the query that how did mankind originate and how. Ancient stories were pieced together to form some form of basis which was much later scripted and presented as the story of creation over the centuries. Even these stories have differing versions. Thus, it is necessary to give full credence to the original stories and trace how they evolved over time and space to become the accepted forms that they are currently.
Interestingly these stories of the origin of man have taken some facts and some imagery to give a credible outlook to the epic that emerges. There is also widespread belief about there being two stories of creation. One of the stories gives an account of the creation of the entire universe with all the animals and plants as well as various forms of life. The second one is the story of the creation of man and subsequently the creation of woman from Adam’s rib. Along with these depictions of creation, there is also the fall and rise of man where the Great Flood is discussed and Noah’s Ark as well all those who survive on it.
