Again, since the learning program is based on the pace and time of the managers himself, great time management skills are needed on part of the manager. Thus if some manager is lacking in this department, then the open learning method is not for him.
One final drawback of the open learning method is that it is not for those who are not familiar with technology. Listen to a lecture through the computer screen might seem unnatural to those who are more adept to the natural method of teaching. In addition, testing, learning, most of it takes place through the computer which all require a good deal of computer skills that might not be possessed by every manager, especially the senior ones who are not particularly adept at technology (Guirdham 2002).
